Sensory and Virtual Experience Design
Brief
Indepth research on an existing activity/action/experience. Design a journey map for the same with detailed experience audit: qualitative and qualitative. For qualitative, detailed report is must, and it should include photos/write ups/ illustrations or any other necessary material. Develop a 3d prototype to enhance the experience of the user doing the activity/action.
Experience Identified
The design aims to enhance the user experience for two-wheeler commuters, focusing on streamlined solution for carrying helmets. The goal is to introduce solution that alleviate the inconvenience associated with helmet handling during travel.
(Please note: For the simplicity and presentation of this project, all the research part has been added in the last section after the solution.)
Concept for Design
The concept involves merging a phone clamp, which is commonly used for hands-free mobile use on two-wheelers, with an integrated helmet lock. Typically mounted on handle rods or side view mirror rods of scooters and bikes, the design offers a dual purpose. The integrated helmet lock securely fastens the helmet, eliminating the need for carrying. Simultaneously, the clamp facilitates convenient phone placement during travel, leveraging the existing utility of mobile holders for bikes and scooters.
